Bakewell Show
Now that George and I have become BFF's we spent yesterday at the Bakewell Show. It was quite fun! They had a dog show going on and there were dogs everywhere! They weren't very cute though. We also watched a horse show (not sure what you call it. They rode around and jumped over those walls and poles...???). The sun was out and it was such a nice day! Above you will see the house (it's really a garden playhouse) that we think would be the perfect size for Charlotte!
Young Farmers Golf Outing
The Young Farmers group has a meeting every week and this week happened to take place at the driving range. I'm really competitive so imagine how disgruntled I got when I wasn't better than George :) The best part was watching the hobbit (Charlotte) trying to do this in heels! She was pretty good by the end!
A visit to York
Charlotte thought she needed to find me a babysitter so she asked one of her friends to be my tour guide on the trip to York. I had never met George before but met him that morning at the grocery store and we had the best day! We walked all over and saw lots of wonderful buildings. We walked up Clifford's Tower and also went to the York Minster. It was so beautiful! George and I have become BFF's and Charlotte is now a little jealous :)

University of Nottingham
This was the day after the wedding. After everyone left our hotel room around 5:00AM we had a few hours of sleep, met up for lunch and went for a walk. You'll notice in one of the pictures there is a very deep cement window well at the University. This is how the story goes...
2:00AM
Kristy: "Has anyone seen David???" Shouting across the courtyard, "David where are you?"
Loud rustling noises from the bushes as David looks as though he's attacking them...
Kristy: "David what the hell are you doing behind the bushes?!"
David falls yet again into another bunch of bushes. Might I add that these bushes were full of thorns.
The group goes on chatting knowing that David can barely walk but assuming that maybe he'll pass out in the bushes????
THUMP! The loudest thump I have ever heard.
David: "Ouch"
This was the window well that Rickard and Kristoffer found him in. His 400£ suit was ripped everywhere as well as his shirt. That morning when he woke up he wanted to know " Who's blood is on my shirt?" Still not sure how he survived!
Anthony and Amanda's Wedding
The wedding was beautiful! It was so great to get to see a proper English wedding. The service was at 1:00 and the festivities lasted until midnight. It was the longest wedding/reception ever! And packed full of fun! I met up with David (England) and we went to the wedding together. We were a bit nervous because we thought we wouldn't know anyone else. What we didn't know was that several trainees that we met in NZ came to the wedding too! There was Anette and Kristoffer (Norway), Linn (Sweden), John (Sweden) and Rickard (Sweden). We also met several people while we were there. It was such a great night with dancing, food, karaoke and Jager bombs :) A not so great next morning...
